As any site should be to reap the benefits of constant experimentation, innovating little bits instead of waiting for that ONE BIG THING. Consistency and dependability give way to serendipity and discovery. No this does not work for all sites. "Real" sites must be compatible with the wants and needs of the audience. This is not one of those. It's a place to self express, not serve the needs of an audience. The exact opposite of my day job.

I don’t know if “eclection” is a word (though it was a band 1967–1969). But I do like the sound of it and the concept/philosophy which I find described thusly: “Eclectic” comes from a Greek verb meaning “to select” and was originally applied to ancient philosophers who were not committed to any single system of philosophy; instead, these philosophers selected whichever doctrines pleased them from every school of thought (adjective).” You can also BE an “Eclectic”—a person who derives ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources. Apparently the verb form didn’t make it to english so those who are impelled to can “eclect.”
